I guess I don't understand the severity of the issue. Since the same person
is recording the transaction and they save the record, but before they move
to another work order they decide that they made a mistake and correct it.
This allows a fat-fingered mistake to be corrected by the original user
(e.g., wrong labor record was recorded or incorrect hours were entered),
instead of having to make a reversing transaction while the original record
is still in focus. If a second user accessed the same work order after the
save was made, but before the first user shifts focus, do they see the
original transaction? Can the first user change the transaction at that
point without having to make a reversing transaction?
There may be a difference between Maximo 7.1 and 7.5 processes based on user
recommendations to IBM, so maybe that was an intentional change.
Sincerely,
Tony Womble
