Re: [MAXIMO List] configdb cannot be run

Dear Lon Stone.
The system is in running condition last three years and i didnt run maxinst.last 2 dayys before i just rebuild the maximo.ear file and deploy it and i am get into this error
Fatal Maximo failed to start
java.lang.exception at psdi.server.MXServer.needToRunUpdateDB
when i run update db its gives me the error
java.lang.Exception: Cannot run database script update.
DB version(MAXUPG) is not same as either Last release DB build or Current release DB build.
at psdi.tools.UpdateDB.startProcess(UpdateDB.java:1068)
at psdi.tools.UpdateDB.loadScriptInfo(UpdateDB.java:258)
at psdi.tools.UpdateDB.main(UpdateDB.java:1999)
configdb is also not running error is
RA-00942: table or view does not exist

When you run the updatedb can you copy the output from the command into the body of the email?

The problem seems to be that the patch you installed failed and now your files and your database are out of sync.

i have updated the maximo 6.2 to 6.2.1 after this but again running updatedb , the error is same.

This explains the issue -
MAXUPG: V520-14,
Current release DB build: V600-502,
Last release DB build: V600-76

If you are positive this is not a 5.2 environment then you might want to:
1 backup the db
2 update maxvar table for the MAXUPG value to V600-76
3 run updatedb

If you start getting unique constraints then restore the database and we will need to trouble shoot a different way.

This the updatedb complete error which i copy from command prompt

i have updated the maximo 6.2 to 6.2.1 after this but again running updatedb , the error is same.

Find out which tables we being altered/updated during config DB.-- SELECT * FROM MAXOBJECTCFG WHERE CHANGED<>'N'
Then check your database if these objects really does exist in database.
