SLA with work order

From: shah faisal (2011-07-26 15:20)

Dear All, Good Morning
I have following some questions kindly answer them in detail/breif.
Database : DB2
OS: Windows 2003 SP2
Maximo 7.1
>> In order to Generate Work order  from PM (Time base(1 month) –type(PM) ) where Route is attached with PM and configured with multiple assets how to Apply SLA on such work order?
The problem is, I am unable to Apply SLA on work order that is created from PM which has location(loc001) with route ‘RT001’ and that route has multiple assets.
>> Is  ‘Apply SLA’  option from select action only applicable  on one/single asset or one/single location in a work order?
>> Can ‘Apply SLA’ be applicable on multiple assets listed in ‘Multiple Assets,Locations and CIs ’ of work order(pm) that was created from PM by ‘Generate work order’ option? I want SLA ‘SLA001’ should be applicable on list of assets that is appearing in ‘Multiple Assets,Locations and CIs ’ of work order but how?
>> what is the main purpose of ‘Multiple Assets,Locations and CIs ’ in work order? What is the benefit of it?
>> When I Apply SLA from select action option  on a newly created work order(type-PM) with  ‘001’ asset number, I receive the error message ‘BMXAQ0090E - No SLA Found’. I already added this particular asset number ‘001’ in SLA (service level agreement)  ‘SLA001’.
I explain you in detail that in first work order ‘WO001’ with ‘WSCH’ status that was generated from PM(type-PM) by selecting ‘Generate work order’ from select action option. I opened the particular work order ‘WO001’ in work order application and I Apply SLA from select option the ‘SLA Applied’ check box automatically selected.  Now I again go to Preventive Maintenance application and generate another new work order (Type – PM , Status – WSCH) ‘WO002’. Later I go in work order application and access ‘WO002’ work order  and again Apply SLA option from selection action, but this time I received the error message ‘BMXAQ0090E - No SLA Found’. I do not know why this error comes. I again checked and verified that particular asset ‘001’ in SLA(service Level Agreement), I found it exists in Asset list of SLA.
I need you people urgent help on above mentioned issues.
Regards
Shah
