Websphere. I think we've done it successfully, but we're still having an error related to the JMS queues. It would be nice to have links to any instructions on how to do it, IBM or non-IBM.

If it is the same as Maximo, you should just be able to create a cluster, add your existing server to the cluster, then create a new cluster member as a clone of your existing server. We do that all of the time and have had as many as 24 jvms in a vertical cluster. You do need to make sure that you have adequate memory (RAM) to cover the jvms. They will not run properly on virtual memory. We also put Integration and Cron servers in their own cluster or run them as a standalone server.

IBM just put together a rather nice guide of how to do this very thing. They did it under the guise of spliting the JVMs into functional groups.
