Re: [MAXIMO List] MIF Question - Inventory Balance & cost updates via MIF without any inventory transactions.

That's what I thought.. Even if it is GUI import, it should not allow as that also uses MIF. I suspect there might be some customization to bypass the Maximo logic. -------------------------------------------- On Mon, 1/18/16, Incomm Solutions incomm@shaw.ca [MAXIMO] <MAXIMO@yahoogroups.com> wrote: Subject: Re: [MAXIMO List] MIF Question - Inventory Balance & cost updates via MIF without any inventory transactions. If there are no issue and receipt transactions, there should be current balance transactions, plus you should have average cost adjustment transactions. Are you sure that it's MIF doing the updating? Do the users have access to do a GUI import, maybe? ‎ Shannon ‎

Actually, the GUI import for InvBalances DOESN'T create transactions, which is why I don't allow my users to use it.
‎However, it's very handy for fixing valuation problems when things go wrong, when you don't want to send a transaction to the financial system.
