From: John Ballnik (2012-08-28 08:51)

Hey Gang,
Does anyone know what the following two Windows Services are for WebSphere:
IBM HTTP Administration 7.0
IBM HTTP Server 7.0
thanks,
John

They are the web services (Apache) to serve up the web pages for Maximo.

When we stopped them, we were still able to log in and navigate through maximo.  Cached pages?

I believe that if you are NOT running a clustered environment, or if you are using HW based load balancing, the HTTP server can be shut off. The HTTP server is only necessary when you are using it to front a cluster and forward the requests to the individual application servers.

The service that runs the WAS console is "IBM WAS V7.0 - ctgDmgr01", assuming you set up your nodes with the default names.
