Using JSON to post data and query data

From: John Ballnik (2013-10-23 10:19)

Hey Gang,
Has anyone used JSON format to post or query data through the MIF?  I can't find any examples online.  If so, please send my way.
thanks,
John

I'm not sure you can do JSON through what would be considered the MIF
proper. As of 7.5 (I think it was there and just not documented in
7.1), you can use what they term the REST API, and that does support
JSON. I've not yet used it for anything real, but I've played around
with it in my development environment and first impression is it seems
pretty straight forward. IBM has a document called "Integrating Data
With External
Applications" for version 7.5 (sorry I don't have the URL right handy)
that has a whole chapter on the REST API that lays it out pretty well.
Hope that helps a little.
