If an Item is flagged as being "Condition Enabled" then you will have to define different condition codes for this item - this configuration is done in Item Master Application
Different condition codes are defined in the "Condition Codes" application.
When you define condition codes you need to define the CODE and the RATE
e.g. NEW 100
USED 50
REBUILT 60
It is a must for any conditioned item that you define the NEW condition code first (with the RATE = 100%).
Consider the below scenario:
Item # 1122, Condition enabled, Cost of the NEW item = $10
For the same item, condition USED with Rate = 50%, the system recalculates the cost = 50% of the $10 = $5
For the same item, condition code REBUILT with Rate = 60%, the cost = 60% of $10 = $6
When you issue the item, since it is condition enabled, the system will require that you enter the condition code of the item issued, and consequently populates the calculated cost from above.
