Cannot start MXserver

From: John Ballnik (2013-12-23 11:23)

Hey Gang,
I'm getting this error when I try to start the MXserver in WebSphere.
Server cannot be started because the node agent for server MXServer on node ctgNode01 is not active.
The Windows Service for the NodeAgent is running and I've restarted the server several times but it still won't start in WebSphere.
any ideas?
John

John, Are you able to manually start it using the .bat file? Either the startnode.bat or startserver.bat? I've seen instances where running the stop .bat files then the start .bat files has moved me passed the problem in some of our dev and test environments.

If you are in WebSphere console, try going to System Admin > Node Agents. Check box the like that has nodeagent and click on the Restart all servers on node button.

Figured it out, I needed to add the Security.xml file to both the App Server and the Deployment manager
