Running Maximo 6.2.5 with weblogic 8.4.1 on windows 2003 server and oracle 11 database. Been receiving an error on MAXIMOSERVER restarts with the following error.
ASSERTION FAILED [invalid assignment from object to object] or sometimes see ASSERTION FAILED [invalid assignment from 'ARRAY' to 'ARRAY'
This appears in the weblogic log file for the MAXIMOSERVER.
After several times at trying to re-start the MAXIMOSERVER it eventually will start, but need to determine why other times it fails to start with the one of the errors above.
Has anyone else seen this error before and if so, were you able to resolve the issue.
Can you provide a little more background on when this occurs - why did you have to restart the Maximo server, are other changes being made as part of the restart, how is the servers setup - single JVM/multiple JVM, etc?
We have 2 Maximo servers running on a windows 2003 server. (non clustered environment) We periodically restart the one server to help control issues of running out of memory in our JVM instances for these servers. No changes are being made to Maximo itself. This issue cropped up about 4 months ago and the only change at about that time was a patch to the Oracle database itself.

Is there anything in the log file ?
