Re: Job Plan Revision/Versioning in Maximo

From: Clay Buckage (2014-06-06 08:34)

Bill,
We would be interested in this.
Is Quality requiring you to print the JOBPLAN.PLUSREVCOM field on every WO?
This is OOTB functionality, but expanding as you have done, could complicate our WO printing.
Thanks!

Clay - The revision details and OOB comments fields are only for JP record approval workflow purposes and do not appear on our Work Order report. We operate 97% paperlessly on our site so there is no real need to provide this info on a printed work order.

Bill/Clay - Do either of you have additional modules for Maximo - e.g. Life Sciences? I check our database and I don't have a JOBPLAN.PLUSREVCOM.

Maximo 7.1.1.12.

Yep, you're right, Jason. It's in Life Sciences for v7.1.x. That's why I was asking what version you have. However, job plan revision control is included in core v7.5, I believe.

Job plan revision functionality is included with 7.5. There is a maxvars setting (JPREVCONTROL - Revision Control for Job Plans) to enable or disable this funcitionality.

Thanks for all the feedback! We're possibly looking at the Life Sciences add-on and the revisioning may help put this over the top.
