While trying to perform a clean install of Maximo 7.6 I receive the error “CTGIN8247E : Required Hostname”. I verified that the hostname is full qualified. The server is a fresh build. WAS and Maximo have never been installed on this server.
I’m installing WAS v8.5.5 and Maximo asset management v7.6 from the Launchpad. The error message appears during the “Validate the prerequisites for the selected packages”. The error occurs after selecting the first “Next >” after initiating the “Install IBM Maximo asset management components”.
The OS is Windows 2008 R2.
Has anyone else encountered this situation?
IBM sent out a Flash Notification today saying not to install WebSphere 8.5.5.4 with Maximo 7.6... I'd check it out.
