We regularly move portable buildings from one school to another. This work is done several times each year. We have 104 sites.
There is a General Contractor who moves them, an Electrical Contractor who disconnects and reconnects, and a Mechanical Contractor who disconnects and reconnects.
I was looking to Job Plans, and then to Work Orders, and now to PM Hierarchies to solve this problem. Each time a portable is moved there is the same sequence of events: Three disconnections at one site, then three connections at the new site. However, the asset doesn't exist at the new site yet. I'd like to be able to provide the Construction group with as few buttons to push as possible, that will result in the six work orders required to the three contractors to the two sites required for the one asset.
Any suggestions as to how best accomplish this? (We may be migrating our database into a single-site environment, which might make this easier.)
