Fw: [MAXIMO List] Re: Direct Order charge to store for rotating assets

From: Incomm Solutions (2017-03-08 12:14)

‎You do have the option of creating a manual PR or PO - the Charge to Store flag is available on the PR and PO lines OOB.
It's probably better to tie the costs to the work order though.
Question: are you having any pain from having to wait for the invoice, prior to closing the PO and then moving the asset back into the storeroom?

These are nonstock items. If you use the store gl for nonstock items it does not average the cost when you move the rotating asset to the storeroom. Also, financially you end up with a debit and credit to stores which is not correct. I was able to get it to work by using the repair work order which automatically charges to the stores contra account. Thank you for the reply!

Yes this will be an issue. We plan to create a communication for rotating items that will alert the po is still open. Once the work order is closed then an osb will complete the transactions for the move when the conditions are met. That's the plan. Still setting up.
