The fact that it is intermittent even more points to a data issue with one or more of your work orders. The issue likely occurs only when a work order with the issue is returned by the query that populates the list. I'll add one more guess to the equation. Your users are probably performing cut and paste from other programs or even worse from an internet page. Very often there are hidden characters in the information that is cut and pasted. These hidden characters make Maximo 6 do some strange things like not display properly.

I'm not following how it relates even more strongly with data. Yes, weird characters from Office will make page renders fail, and stop interfaces from sending across XML, but why would it resolve itself? If anything, I would expect it to persist.
I encountered this early with 6.2 in 2008, but I saw it manifest in a page render, not a suppressed listing. I will look, though, because I believe in data.
