create new reserved materials for a WO

From: Ricardo Monsivais (2012-04-12 15:28)

Hi guys,
there's a way to make a material planned registry to be unalterable in a
workorder when this workorder has been approved
i mean
i have a workorder that has a planned material , this workorder changes
the status to aproved, if we need additional material only the user can
add a new row in the material planned tab and cannot delete another
rows, then approve again the workorder
thanks for your advice
RM

OK - I think I've got it. If you want ONLY one user to be able to update
the plan tab, I would tackle it this way:
1. Make sure that the Work Order options (in Organizations) are set
up to allow changes after the status changes to APPR (I don't recommend make
it available at COMP status).
2. Create an expression in Conditional Expressions, so Maximo can
determine how to tell which is the correct user
3. Add the condition to the Plan tab via Application Designer (see the
Conditional Interface chapter of the Application Developer Guide for more
information)

Hope this gets you pointed in the right direction.

Just read your post again . note my first Step. You can set Maximo to allow
changes to the Plan tab after the work order is Approved . without having to
un-approve it.

thanks for the response, well all the user have the permision to do
this, but all we need is, if there is a row in a material plan, cannot
be updated or deleted, only the users have the hability to insert a new row
thanks a lot for the advice
