R: Re: [MAXIMO List] Table domain and lookups.xml

Wes,
when data volumes allow (for performance issues) you can use a trick
to simulate a distinct both in lookups and tabel domain, this is a
sample lookup where the particular select statement on the table itself
makes the trick, applicable on all mbo with an id and an attribute to
distinguish them:
<table id="PRJ_LISTING" inputmode="readonly" mboname="CUSTREL"
selectmode="single" whereclause=" PARENT='cost_component' and
CHILD='PRJ' and CUSTRELid = (select Max(CUSTRELid) from CUSTREL a where
a.displayvalue = CUSTREL.displayvalue) ">
<tablebody displayrowsperpage="20" filterable="true" filterexpanded="
true" id="ELENCO_PRJ_tablebody">
<tablecol dataattribute="DISPLAYVALUE" id="
PRJ_LISTING_tablebody_col1" label="PRJ" mxevent="selectrecord"
sortable="true" type="link"/>
<tablecol dataattribute="CUSTRELASPRJ.Service_Code" id="
PRJ_LISTING_tablebody_col1a" label="Code" sortable="true" type="link"
/>
<tablecol dataattribute="CUSTRELASPRJ.Service_Code_Description" id="
ELENCO_PRJ_tablebody_col1b" label="Description" sortable="true" type="
link"/>
</tablebody>
</table>
Hope this helps

Hi Chris!
Yes, that is what I was hoping to avoid since the report has 3
parameters.
The report uses a view, so how great would that have been to just
have 3 domains using that same view.

Wes, did you consider creating a view of the target data then basing
the table domain on the view?
Chris.
