I wonder if anyone has experience creating Breakdown work orders automatically by external system, such as production management system, PLC's, etc. If yes, how do you manage to synchronize the information in both systems since some of the information in Maximo work orders cannot be changed in certain statuses.

Rather than having the work orders created in the external system, why not
set up Condition Monitoring in Maximo? Then the external system could just
feed the PLC data to Maximo, which will then generate a work order when
needed.
Just a thought ...
