1. Add all components in DB config and mark them as not required.
PartX1 (4 chars)
PartX2 (2 chars)
PartX3 (3 chars)
PartY1 (1 chars)
PartY2 (3 chars)
PartY3 (2 chars)
PartY4 (3 chars)
2. Go to Chart of Accounts > Select Action Menu > Add/Modify Account Structure. For each org delete the components that you don’t want to use for that org also if you want make the components required at this point .
3. And that’s it different orgs have different GL structures.

Since the account structure is different – you will need 2 different databases.
The other thing you can do is to define your main 3 segments (from the example you mentioned) as Required and then define the fourth segment as being optional and this will be entered only for the Org yyyyy.
You define your GL Account Structure through the Database Configuration application – select action menu – “GL Account Configuration” action

Subject: [MAXIMO List] Re: Multiple GL Structures
Is it possible to create multiple GL structure within Maximo?
Lets say I have ORGID = xxxxxx and ORGID = yyyyyy
I want the structure for ORG xxxxxx to look like this:
1234-56-789
And I want the structure for ORG yyyyyy to look like this:
1-234-56-789
Under "GL Account configuration in database configuration, I do not see the option to setup gl components by ORG.
Any advise would be appreciated.
