I have an error that occurs when using the Direct Print with Attachments icon in Maximo 7.5.0.2. It only occurs with the attachment has an & sign in it and it will not print. Has anyone seen a workaround or fix for this.
In know in Maximo 7.1.x we've had probems with extended characters that are allowed in file names - '&' being one of them - e.g outbound MIF transactions would convert '&' to '&'. Short term answer was to tell users to not using anything except alphanumberic for file names. Dashes will work, but it was easier to exclude all non-alphanumeric characters than it was to give an exceptions list.

Best example I can give where the ampersand can messs things up:
"In know in Maximo 7.1.x we've had probems with extended characters that are allowed in file names - '&' being one of them - e.g outbound MIF transactions would... "
That's the preview of my comment in the message list for the group. Note how Yahoo adjusted the single quoted ampersand in my actual reply.
