Use the Microsoft SQL 2008 upgrade wizard. It seems to do the job.

How hard is it to move from SQL 2005 server and
running 7.1.1 and move to 7.5 using the IBM db.
Since moving to 7.5 requires buying license for sql 2008 anyway.
