Akwire is an excellent product. It is solid and state of the art. It would appear that the new IBM scheduler was modeled after it in many ways.

Have you looked at other scheduling solutions? We have several implementations of Maximo (6.2, 7.5.0.1, 7.5.0.3) that are paired with a tool called Akwire. These implementations looked at the Project adaptor and Scheduler, but found them both lacking for various reasons. Mainly based around the previous comments on this thread about Scheduler not being there yet. Don't get me wrong it is a good start; just like Automation Scripts is a good start, but it too just isn't there yet.
