Paul,
It all depends on how you security is set up but I can tell you how it works for us in Maximo version 6. We also have our system set up with single site access for the average user. However, we have a number of people who support multiple sites. For those people we just add the sites that they need access to in their security profile and they can then access any site they been given access to.

thanks for the response. We are using version 6.2. Your response is helpful, looks like i need to set up a security group for all to access other departments assets.
