You need to Go To -> Administration -> Workflow -> Workflow Administration. Then you can filter on the user id of the person who has the assignments. To remove the assignments you would need to either stop workflow on each assignment, if the assignment is not valid, or use the view/modify assignments option to reassign the assignment to the correct person. Either way it is going to take you a while for 9500 assignments.
