Using Case for problem solving

From: Daniel Ortiz (2014-07-15 19:55)

Good evening,
This is my first post. We are starting to implement Maximo 7.5 at a large Electric Utility and Renewable Energy company. Using Six Sigma for problem solving is one of our core processes and we plan on migrating many of our routine problem solving activities to Maximo. We starting learning about Cases today and it does not seem to have great functionality for root cause analysis, countermeasure evaluation and implementation. Does anyone have experience with this and if so what are your thoughts about using Case for quality improvement?

Daniel
You need a comprehensive FRACAS system, MAXIMO would be one of your tools, is where you will collect the information (Failure reports..) for RCA. I have worked with MAXIMO for a long time, and I dont know the functionality you want.
Hope have helped.

Good evening Jose,
Thank you. I am a Six Sigma Blackbelt and we currently use PowerPoint and Excel for our quality efforts. I hope to be able to build tables in Maximo to replicate what we do now but have a better way to organize and share the information. We are just starting with Maximo, IBM just finished leading it today.
Regards,
Dan Ortiz
