Escalation for SR to workorder

From: Ron Sleijpen (2012-11-30 13:28)

Hi group,
Is there anybody using an escalation to automatically make a work order from a service request in Maximo 6?
I want that the requestors in the production make service requests. From these requests a work order should automatically be made.
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
Ron Sleijpen

We do something similar with a workflow but this could be easily done with an escalation.
Frist create an action Where the object = SR, Type = APPACTION, and value = CREATEWO.
Then create an escalation to fire off at whatever interval you like, and add that action to the escalation.
In our process we also set the status of the WO to INPRG at the same time, but you could just leave as WAPPR if you like.
Hope that helps!
