Re: [MAXIMO List] QA verification of work orders

What type of specs? Could meters be used to record the specs for a workorder?

Was thinking meters and condition monitoring points could have been used to generate a corrective work order but would that mean that several corrective work orders might be generated for that one inspection work order if several meter values were not in spec?

Hi,
We have to certify that we have checked for tools, materials and debris after working on the production lines and if a supervisor needs to check the area.
We added some fields SANINOTIFIED, SANITATIONCHECK and TOOLCHECK to the work order table. The last two are Y/N fields that the operators have to check off. TOOLCHECK indicates that a check was made for tools, materials and debris. This must always be checked to Y. SANITATIONCHECK is checked to indicate a supervisor has to check the area and when it is checked then SANINOTIFIED is a field where they must choose a person record to indicate who they notified.
In application designer we then put signature options and conditional properties in place to enable and disable the change status. So until the fields are filled in to satisfy the QA requirements users cannot change the status to COMP.
So you could do something like this to add a condition where if the asset on the work order had a specification of QACHECKREQ = 1 then the work order could not be completed until the QA check field was changed to Y. Then have a signature option and condition that only the user in the QACHECK security group could change.
Once they had checked off the QA check then enable the change status.
