Has anyone come across (and has a solution for) a problem in Maximo
version 5.2 where users are no longer able to add rows to an existing
value list in Application Setup? Gives the an on-screen error message
"Can't insert any more rows".

I never had a problem when we were on v5.2. What is the value list used for and how many are currently on the list?

The value list is called MI (Maint Instruction) in the PM module - currently it has 1883 values.

Did you do any back end data loading for your domain values on this list?

How many items are in the value list???
You can use a domain and a tablelookup to move the valuelist items to a new table and then you're unlimited on the number of rows (and you can create an app off the new table and manage the valuelist through security at the front end of Maximo)...

Did you do any back end data loading for your domain values on this list?

Will, your response implied that there is an inherent limit in the current setup (value list). Is that right?

Not that I'm aware of - there shouldn't be - it's a table, it has no default limit - it should allow you to add more to it - but; without checking the actual code I'd not know if something internally was done to stop you from entering more records (intentionally or unintentionally)
