Dear specialists,
I had been requested by accounting to have a report to tell the month open
balance , the IN and OUT transaction within the month , then the month
closing balance
I tried to write a query to collect the transactions from invtrans,
matrectrans, matusetrance, but it never closing as expected
The simple equation dates
Closing balance= open balance+ IN Transaction - OUT transactions
any ideas will be appreciated

No you cant make those report by creating SQL Query. It will never meet the desired data or your query will take too long to be processed and it will make your websphere timeouts.
What you can do is to make a snapshot for the value of inventory current balance in the beginning of the month as your opening/closing balance and store it into a table.
You also need to run the query automatically through the SQL Stored Procedure or from the maximo scheduled reports.
