I am working with a customer that has the need to crossover a custom field from PRLINE to POLINE.
I have found IBM Technotes that say it was fixed in 7.1.1.5, but we cannot get it to work.
Has anyone had any luck crossing over without class file extensions?

In Maximo 6 and previous, there were built-in extra fields for such crossovers. I'm using PRLINE.PRLALN1, PRLINE.PRLALN2, PRLINE.PRLALN3, and PRLINE.PRLALN4 to crossover to POLINE.POLALN1, etc. There are 10 of those built-in IIRC.
I assume these still exist in 7.x. Could your customer use one of those instead, and just reconfigure the datatype and length as needed?

Thanks for the reply. For now that's what we've ended up doing (using built in fields). The issue is that the customer wants to be able to utilize the custom fields as they see it making their querying (SQL) easier in the future. Hoping to get it working soon. I'll let you know if we figure it out.
