All,
Using Maximo 7118, with an Active Directory Single Sign on implementation. Yesterday we tried to put the system in admin mode for the first time since implementing SSO. It did not work saying that the electronic signature presented was invalid. Further, it actually locked the developers account after he tried it a couple times. I believe the problem might be that we use smart cards to log on to the AD domain so technically there is no password. Does anyone know if there is a way to configure the app so admin mode does not require you to present your password?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Go to the system properties application and set the mxe.convertloginid to 1
. This property identifies whether the entered loginid should be converted
to uppercase before validating or not. This should resolve the issue you are
having. I would compare the login id values in MAXUSERS with the users in
Active Directory. You will probably find casing conflicts.

Thanks,

Hi Chris,
Please find the sigoption for the button or select action in application designer which says turn admin mode on or Manage admin mode and expand it to see its details . You will find a checkbox which say E-Signature enabled , uncheck it.
I will send you the screen shots once I get home, I am replying through my phone right now.
Hope this helps in your query regarding how to turn off the e-signature when you manage admin mode or turn it on.
Thanks,
Victor.
