WAS 6 to 7 migration problem

From: Hanna, Christopher CTR (2012-08-29 08:27)

We are in the midst of upgrading our development environment from 7118 to 7503 and as part of that have migrated our configuration from WebSphere 6 to WebSphere 7 as detailed in the upgrade guide. Everything works fine except that the cluster does not seem to be working. I can get to the individual application servers by their ports, however if I try to hit the app with the port of the HTTP server, I get a 404 not found error. I've redeployed the app several times and I'm sure I'm targeting the cluster and the HTTP server. I've checked the virtual host and it is defined correctly.
Anybody run into this issue after migrating the WAS configuration?

Just to follow up, we figured out this issue. The WAS migration utility did not migrate a couple of settings in the http.conf for the Web server. We had to add the following lines (for 64bit environment):
LoadModule was_ap22_module "<plug-in home>\bin\32bits\mod_was_ap22_http.dll"
WebSpherePluginConfig "<plug-in home>\config\webserver1\plugin-cfg.xml"
