Re: Maximo 7.5.4 no Issues and Transfers App

From: Mar, Connie (2013-07-24 14:12)

If you're on 7.5.0.4, it may just be missing from maxmenu. That's what
happened to us.

IBM had us do this:

select * from MAXMENU where MENUTYPE = 'MODULE' and MODULEAPP =
'INVENTOR' and KEYVALUE = 'INVISSUE'

to see if it was there. It wasn't so we had to:

insert into maxmenu (menutype, moduleapp, position, subposition,
elementtype, keyvalue, headerdescription, url, visible, image, accesskey,
tabdisplay, maxmenuid) values ('MODULE', 'INVENTOR', 10605, 0, 'APP',
'INVISSUE', null, null, 1, 'appimg_invissue.gif', null, null,
maxmenuseq.nexval)

Then it appeared. The doc referred to in earlier post I believe is only
for 7.5 - 7.5.0.2. App was put back in 7.5.0.3. However looks like IBM
forgot to put the menu option back in maxmenu.

It's not a bug - the app is deliberately hidden (they chose to hide it rather than delete it for now)
There is new functionality in the applications to handle what Issues and Transfers used to do.
Un-hiding the application is a move backwards in the functionality - not necessarily wrong but no guarantee the functionality will be there in future versions of Maximo - so you might as well learn the new apps now.

Hi Connie,
Thanks for the information I will try inserting it. In the meantime I will have to look at re-training our Stores staff to use the new system for future versions.
