Can anyone advise me on the use of the Button for "PO Items in Transit" on the "Transfer In" Tab of the "Issues and Transfers" application?
My users are requesting a checkbox on the PO screen to record when a buyer is told by a vendor they have the PO and are taking care of it. Basically my guess is that this is the "Shipping and Handling" stage.
Would we want to use the "Select PO Items in Transit" to better accommodate this need rather than a new checkbox?
I am just wanting to know if by adding a custom checkbox I will lose some out of box downstream functionality that maybe informs maint people and planners that things are in route to be able to complete WO. Also, worried about the entire reservations and such and if my custom field will conflict with that?
Any advice greatly appreciated. Don't want to make a choice now that we may regret down the road and I am a novice at inventory in Maximo, work management much more my thing.
