Tip of the Day #190

From: John (2011-07-23 15:47)

Some smaller sites perform no work order planning. They have no job planner position or role.
But they do have a work backlog consisting of CM and PM work.
And they do collect labor man-hours.
When asked to provide an estimate of the backlog they use an average value.
This average value would be by Craft code (which would come from main screen) and linked to the "type of work" (not to be confused with worktype).
The average value could be used for an entire year or recalculated more often.
The calculated value looks at the craft code, type of work, actual hours and number of work orders for that time period.
I am not saying this is good or bad – but am describing how some clients use the system.
