Is there a template to import inventory items?

From: rudy.banks (2011-08-03 00:25)

I have a list of 1500 items that need to be imported into our inventory. Does anyone have an excel template that is formatted for this task? I have seen equipment templates but have not seen one for inventory records. Thnx

I uploaded a copy of the template I use to do data loading via the MIF to the Files section of the group. One word of caution, the template should be used as an example on how to setup your data load template. When loading Inventory data, there's a good chance you had to rename some columns due to duplicate field names. The names you give your alias columns will need to be reflected in your upload template e.g. INVENTORY.BINNUM and INVBALANCES.BINNUM.

If you go into Integration > Object Structures and open the object structure that is used for the import, then "Select Actions" and "Add/Modify Aliases" this will give you the aliases that are used in your system so you can customize the template.
