Failure Code Import Error

From: bennettdg01 (2011-08-03 14:19)

We recently imported failure codes from Maximo 4.1.1 to Maximo 7.1.1.5 succssfully. The problem we are now haveing is that when we try to enter a new error code im Maximo 7.1.1.5 the error code will go in, and can be saved, but when we try to put in a description we get the following error.
BMXAA0031E - Object FAILURECODE is read-only
There is not much on Google about this error so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

The problem statement is not clear to me, Do you mean to say you have already inmported all the failurecodes from V4 to V7 and you are trying to build the failure hierarchy and you are getting the error ?

What do mean by the term error code ? PROBLEM, CAUSE and REMEDY or somthing else you mean to say.

Regards,
Chandan

When we imported the failure codes we set up the hierarchy and it seems to be functioning correctly. The issue I am having now is when I try to create a new parent error code. I can enter the error code (name) that I want to use and save it, but when I enter a description or any other information and try to save it I get the "BMXAA0031E - Object FAILURECODE is read-only" error. By the way the error code that I have saved does show up in the failurelist table.
Thanks for any help you can give.
