maximo 4.0.3 support matrix

From: Sully (2011-08-15 16:27)

I wanted to upload this to the files area, but couldn't do it . . . here is the official support matrix for maximo 4.0.3, thanks to all that answered my post.
John
NOTE: This is a no longer supported version. As you know Maximo is developed using the latest available technology and version at the time of development. Maximo 4.0.3 was out of service 21st January 2002 anything after that date was never tested or supported.
Hope this help.
MAXIMO v4.0.3
N.B. Development of this version has ceased.
The last Centura patch developed for v4.0.3 was Patch 03 (released Jan 21st 2002). (Unfortunately there were some new issues introduced with Patch 03, so a further release known as "Program Fix 1" and additional hot fixes are available). The last Java patch developed for v4.0.3 was Java Patch 01
MAXIMO v4.0.3, which uses Workflow and/or Java applications will not work correctly on machines with Pentium 4 processors. The recommendation at this time is to upgrade to the latest version.
Upgrading
MAXIMO v4.0.3 can be upgraded to v4.1.
(Please observe the O/S platform and RDBMS versions for this version of MAXIMO).

Ø Novell Netware v5.x cannot be used except in a fileserver role. Centura have not validated SQLBase v6.1.2 engine to run on Novell 5.
Crystal Reports Professional
Crystal Reports Professional v7.0.x.x is the only validated version of that product.
Oracle
MAXIMO is validated to use Oracle 7.3.4 up to Oracle v8.0.5, however v8.0.6 is supported.
MAXIMO v4.0.3 is validated against Oracle 8i (v8.1.5), however there were bugs in that Oracle version.
Oracle v8.1.6 has been developed by Oracle as a replacement. This version is supported.
Oracle v8.1.7 is not supported.
N.B. Unicode is not supported with this version of MAXIMO.
MS SQLServer
Validated versions are: MS SQLServer v6.5 minimum Service Pack 3 through 5, or MS SQLServer v7.0 with SP1 and SP2.
Also supported are: MS SQLServer v6.5a, and MS SQLServer v7.0 with SP3 and SP4.
N.B.: Only the Standard or Enterprise editions of MS SQLServer are validated, i.e. not the 'Desktop edition' of SQLServer 7.0.
N.B. A problem has been identified with MS SQLServer 7.0 SP3 (see issue #011157): (If customers are using the Java Application Server with this service pack, then they will get TDS exception errors).
MS SQLServer 2000 is NOT supported, and this will not change for this version of MAXIMO.
Centura SQLBase
SQLBase v6.1.2 up to PTF4 is the highest validated version, despite what the documentation might say. N.B. PTF7 was included on the SQLBase Server CD, but should not be used, because it removes a reserved word command, which is used by MAXIMO.
The SQLBase Server setup program provides you with many installation item options. We only support the installation of the SQLBase Server software on NetWare 3.x, NetWare 4.x, Windows NT. The installation and configuration of any other installation items is NOT validated or supported.

Sybase Adaptive Server Version 11.5.1 or 11.9.2
Support for Sybase users only up to MAXIMO v4.0.3 P02. Patch 03 was not tested with any Sybase configurations.
