Does anyone have documentation that discusses the setup and use of Failure Hierarchies for Maximo 7.x specifically 7.1.1.7? Or the IBM url where I can find some. Thanks
There are two database tables related to failure codes:
failurecode - which contains all the codes (regardless if they are prob/class/rem/cause)
failurelist: defines the hierarchical structure--structure is formed from each record referencing the failurelist field value of their parent (or NULL if a top-level class)
I created a CSV publish channel then exported the files to see the import format. I then wrote a script to format the data to be the same as the exported file for import via a CSV enterprise service.
