Just wondering if you could chime in on whether or not your site uses generic labor accounts? Do you allow the use of a Labor record such as 'MECH' or 'MECHANIC' instead of using a craft field?
Pros-Cons:
If Laborcode is generic you will not know exactly who did the work. Maybe that is the intent of the maintenance staff.
This could provide generic labor rate I guess.
is it clear on main work order tab who is responsible for work?
The industry leading practice (and trend) is to capture worker feedback inside the database.
Will the accountability/responsibility for status changes, failure coding and feedback be clear?
