One of the things I've struggled with over the years is ensuring end users give me enough information when they contact me with problem. Too often I'll get - "I can't approve my PO." That's it, just five words. No PO number to reference, no error message they may have received - zilch.
IBM has a list of questions that they call "Must Gather" and I finally found their list of questions for specific applications - Locations, Work Order, Purchase Order, etc. This is a great list for new Maximo admins to adopt and push back to make sure end users give you all the details you need to help diagnose issues, instead of trying to create your own.
