Does anyone use MAXIMO to tracking roofs?

From: webee81 (2011-09-23 14:12)

Does anyone use MAXIMO to tracking roofs? And if so, how? As Assets? Locations? Systems?
Here are a few of the requirements they have for roofs:
• Roof Conditions – similar to condition codes Types of roof
• Any roof penetrations
• Location of Roof drains
• Pitch
• Insulation type
• Deck type
• Slope
• Square Footage
• Ability to electronically feed data to system for inspections.

Depending on your business process you can set the roof up as a sub-location
of the building or an asset.

Then associate a specification template with attributes for the information
you want to track. Associate domains with value lists for the attribute
values for consistency.
Roof drain locations and penetrations could be a bit difficult but that
information could be contained in the long description or a linked document.
The other attributes are pretty straightforward.

You can set up a PM for routine inspections. I do not know what you mean by
"Ability to electronically feed data to system for inspections."
