I am being asked by a customer to develop a Justification and Risk Assessment document for applying the 6.2.7 or 6.2.8 Patch to a current 6.2.2 environment.
We are already doing a 6.2.3 Patch and they want to know why we should instead go to 6.2.7 or 6.2.8 (i.e. the last 6.2 patches I believe that will be released).
Has anyone done such a justification before and can you provide any insight into how you justified to your superiors Patching to the latest and greatest version so support can no longer say its fixed in a later version ;-)
Can you share any inputs you may have made to prove its worth doing and that the risks are low.
We are def going to 6.2.3 first so we can sureley get all the last Actuate fixes before the seperation of IBM & Actuate. But question is to then apply a 6.2.7 or 6.2.8 Patch to the 6.2.3 environment after and convince these people we should do it.
