Logging settings - V7.1

From: shannonrotz (2011-10-18 19:49)

Hi guys: I'm getting an error on the work order screen when trying to copy a job plan to a work order, i.e. "Company is not valid". Unfortunately, I can't tell where this is coming from. There is a direct issue item on the job plan, but the company IS valid AND is not disqualified - I checked.
My next step is to turn up the logging to see if I can find out more, but so far all of the logging settings I've changed haven't worked. Can anyone help out on this?
TIA
Shannon

Hi Shannon,
Check the following :
1. Any crossover domain associated to company which crosses over the company value when the job plan is selected or any other field is copied over when job plan is selected, which is crossing over the company based on some validation.
2. Any table domain associated with the company field, which has a list where clause or validation where clause, which excludes your company record.
Thanks,
Victor.

Did you try setting the SQL root logger, WORKORDER.WORKORER (or just WORKORDER if that doesn't work) logger to debug? That might allow you to see the SQL that is being executed when the validation fails and might help point you in the right direction.

Interesting that this e-mail just showed up - I send it on October 18.
Thanks Chris! The problem's solved, but I'll keep that in mind for next
time.
