Conditionally hiding the new row button or making the subtabs read only

From: Sonia (2011-10-22 04:11)

Good day,
Does anyone know how to conditionally hide the new row button on the work order plans sub tabs? Or conditionally make the entire sub tab read only without having to configure each control on the sub tab?

Yes we did the same thing actually. I put the signature option "entireplan"
on the new row button objects. Then grant "entireplan" (which I think is
listed in security groups as "show entire plan" to whoever needs to use
those buttons (planners, supervisors, etc). Our issue was that we didn't
want technicians to be able to use those buttons.

Sonia , what Kevin Wertz  explained worked with me 100%
and its the only way to hide any tabs , column or button , if u want show the data like XXXX or read only then u need to use data restriction from security groups
