Conditional coloring of multiple fields, want to use only one signature option

From: kevwertz (2011-11-04 18:28)

I have an idea to color fields in job plans (think redline) when the value of the fields have been changed from the previous revision. We have jp versioning with the calibration module.
I created a relationship in jobplan to pull the previous revision, that was easy.
Then I created the conditional expressions. Unfortunately there is no replacement variable in condexpmgr for attributes, so I had to create a separate conditional expression for each attribute. Okay, sorta lame, but I can live with that.
However, it looks like I can't use the READ signature option on each field. The "Configure Conditional Properties" setup works fine on the first one, but then when I try to use READ on the second field's setup, it pulls in all the info from the first field. Is this a bug or expected behavior?
So it seems like I would have to create a bunch of bogus signature options, make sure every group who uses job plans is clicked off on those bogus options, then use a separate one of those sigoptions for each field. Is there an easier way to do this?

Okay I have come to terms with how this needs to be done and now I have a
simpler question...
what is the "property value for condition" to use to turn the background of
a checkbox to red? I am trying use cssclass>bgred like I am using for the
other fields but it is not working.

We did more research on this and thought we would need to add custom
checkbox images to the server with the backgrounds changed to red, and then
use the imagename property, since the component-registry.xml indicates that
imagename is a checkbox property. However, attempting to change the
checkbox imagename when the property is true resulted in the checkbox image
changing into text that read "interruptible: checked" or something like
that.
We ended up deciding to just change the label text to red to show the user
that the value had changed. But if anyone comes across this thread in the
future and knows the correct answer on how to change the checkbox image
conditionally, I would love to know the answer. Thanks.

Yes, I discovered problems with using that too, i.e. for a combo box it
doesn't work either. I don't know what the solution is yet.

Hi,
I change the color of the text for the check box. SO the text may read "I have done this". Before they check the box the text is red. Once the check box is checked it's green.
