Is it possible to prevent duplicate work request from being created in the system?

What type of duplication are you looking to prevent: select action > Duplicate, duplicate work requests for an asset with a certain classification, etc?

If you are making work order tied to asset (or Location) and are entering FC and Problem code then Maximo will automatically throw up a warning dialog.
Otherwise you should run a report against open backlog.

I'm looking to stop the duplication of service request.
Say one shift creates a SR for pump1a to be resealed.
Next shift comes in and see the same pump needs to be worked and they
create a SR for pump1a to be resealed.
Do you kind of get the flow im talking about?
