Maximo 7.x Migration Manager setup for moving MIF Definitions

From: David M (2011-12-06 20:48)

Anyone have a doc or a link to a doc that provides a guide on how to use the Migration Manager to move my MIF setup from one environment to another? I need to be able to move the Object Structure/Publish Channel/Enterprise Services and External System definitions from DEV into TEST.
I understand Maximo will not build the IFACE tables in the migration so I will have to "Create Interface Tables" but i want the surrounding definitions to be able to move?
Thanks in advance for any guidance,
Miller

Use the integration migration object to bring over your MIF configuration
and use the data dictionary migration object to bring over your object
structures. I believe the integration migration object is dependent on the
data dictionary. Web Services and Interface Tables will need to be
configured manually. For the object structures you don't need in the data
dictionary set the where clause to 1=2 on everything but object structures.

I have been down this path this eve. The MM wants to bring the entire Data Dictionary and that is totally not needed. I have the most basic
Object STructures/Publish Channel/Enterprise Service and External Systems to migrate.
The Data Dictionary is huge and I dont need any of it as I have added nothing suctom to make my MIF work.
How can I exclude the Data Dictionary to only what I want.
Also, I am using AddChange for my Processing.. Is this okay?
This is why i was looking for a manual that guides to what all the settings should be and explain what they are. I found the "Migration Use Cases with the Migration Manager" but it totally glosses over migration of Integration Objects, all other areas are covered.
