So I have an asset based custom app that was designed so that the search page is pulling up records off of another field rather than the assetnumber. I have this worked out through a third party rule software.
I'm controlling the result set that the user sees in the search page via saved Maximo public query, the only where clause on the query is "cb_brkrtype = 'TESTED'" The query works just fine.
The problem is when someone goes and types a value into the Quick Key Search (Find box) at the top of the screen, the application is opening up the asset number which is what it is supposed to do since this is a cloned asset application, but I don't want that to happen. It either needs to be removed completely from the app or redesigned to use another field for the search.
I have other custom applications that I designed from ground up that do not have this Quick Key Search (find) box. I've tried to tweak signature options / toolbar options / search options but can find no way to make the Find Box disappear.
Anyone able to help me out?
