Hi guys: I'm writing a BIRT report that has Start Date and End Date parameters. The parameters are not required in the report, since I have adjusted the code to allow for nulls.
When I run the report with no Start or End date in Eclipse's development environment, everything's fine.
The problem is when I try to run the report in Maximo itself. If I enter a Start Date and End Date, the report runs fine. However, when I run the report in Maximo, if I don't specify a Start Date or End Date, I receive a report error, i.e.
org.eclipse.birt.report.exception.ViewerValidationException: The parameter "{0}" cannot be blank
In Report Administration, the parameters are not required, so I'm not sure why this is popping up.
Can anyone share some insight?
TIA
Shannon
Further to my previous post: the parameters in Report Administration were automatically imported when I imported the report design file. I deleted those, and re-added them manually in Report Administration - that that seems to have worked for some reason ...
Strange.

It must be a formatting issue if the content was exact. Just a thought.

you have probably defined the parameters as mandatory in BIRT
